Jon McGregor
Jon McGregor is the
author of the critically acclaimed If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things and So
Many Ways to Begin. He is the winner of the Betty Trask Prize and the Somerset
Maugham Award, and has been twice longlisted for the Man Booker Prize. He was
born in Bermuda in 1976. He grew up in Norfolk and now lives in Nottingham.
Even the Dogs, published by Bloomsbury in February 2010 and in paperback in
February 2011, is his third novel.
This Isn’t the Sort of
Thing That Happens to Someone Like You, published by Bloomsbury in February
2012, is the fourth novel from Jon McGregor, which tells the tales of the sorts
of things you don’t imagine happening to someone like you. But sometimes they

Jon McGregor is a British
author who has written three novels. His first novel, If Nobody Speaks of
Remarkable Things, was nominated for the 2002 Booker Prize and was the winner
of both the Betty Trask Prize and the Somerset Maugham Award in 2003. So Many
Ways to Begin was published in 2006 and was on the Booker prize long list. Even
the Dogs was published in 2010, and his newest work, Reservoir 13, was
published in April 2017.
Jon McGregor is the
winner of the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, the Costa Book Award,
the Betty Trask Prize, the Somerset Maugham Award, and the American Academy of
Arts and Letters E. M. Forster Award, and has been long-listed three times for
the Man Booker Prize, most recently for his last novel, Reservoir 13. He is a
professor of creative writing at the University of Nottingham, England, where
he edits The Letters Page, a literary journal in letters.
